I filmed and edited this highlight video incorporating my motion graphics and original music for the 2018 Tacoma Film Festival
We worked with the Tacoma Film Festival once again—this year to help turn their annual poster art into moving pictures as promo videos. We combined original footage with an original score to complete the effect. The best part of this project was driving around Tacoma capturing the footage!
Coming in October, Tacoma Film Festival 2015 is shaping up to be another excellent one—and we were honored to have the chance to once-again provide the poster art above!

As passionate filmmakers and cinephiles, we felt very much in our essence creating the poster for this year’s Tacoma Film Festival. For the art, we wanted to play with the escapist whimsy of cinema to create a surreal design, one that was inspired by the interaction of light with space but—like a good film—is imbued with some added layers of visual meaning pertaining to both cinema and Tacoma. Inspired both by a cone of light from a projector as well as a strip of segmented film, we created this clean, simple logo as a timeless piece of identity for Tacoma Film Festival.
We are so lucky in Sonoma to have a world class film festival every spring—the Sonoma International Film Festival. We were even luckier this year because we were able to have access to the whole festival and document it day by day for Cult Sonoma—including filmmaker interviews, special event footage and even some playful words from Lifetime Achievement honoree Susan Sarandon.
