  • music film // Bombay Beach teaser

We are collaborating with one of Portland’s most interesting music projects—Bombay Beach.  A trio composed of three thoughtful artists with wild abandon and serious chops. At one moment, their music will pummel you with noise and howl and the next moment it will blow you away on a digital breeze.   (more…)

  • epicurean film // Gun Bun x BUNK

We took a day trip down to Portland, Oregon to catch up with Huichica Music Festival co-founder and Fruitbats frontman Eric D. Johnson and Portland’s famous BUNK Sandwiches chef Tommy Habetz.  The two talked endlessly about their mutual love for sandwiches and rock and roll—we managed to capture a few tidbits along with details on Tommy’s sandwich pairing with Gundlach Bundschu’s Mountain Cuvée wine at this year’s upcoming Huichica Music Festival.

  • wedding film // Get Hitched Give Hope : 2013

Our own wedding division The Heart Dept. loved capturing the magic and generosity swirling in the air during Seattle’s 2013 “Get Hitched, Give Hope” — an opulent gala and fundraising auction held last fall at The Four Seasons and one that bore witness to a staggering number of wedding vendors and industry artisans donating their services to an incredible cause. Dressed to the hilt in ravishing roaring twenties attire, betrothed couples floated through an evening bubbling with champagne, cafe music and deliciousness, bidding on all manner of goods and services—with all proceeds from the evening directed entirely to The Dream Foundation—a charity that fulfills end-of-life wishes for patients with terminal illness.

  • wedding film // Northwest Vintage Wedding Fair : 2013

When it comes to our wedding division The Heart Dept., we’re never ones to resist getting tantalizing close-ups of tulle and shortcake. So earlier this spring Sarah delighted in filming a little slice of the glittered, glammy spectacle that is the Northwest Vintage Wedding Fair.

    Sarah reports :

Let’s just say that there was enough vintage elegance and eye candy and antiquated treasures and sweetly scripted invitations and feathery fascinators and Broaches (with a capital B) to put an F. Scott Fitzgerald garden party to shame. I would tell you there was vintage chocolate, but thank goodness there wasn’t—just freshly made, oh so au (more…)

  • film // Quasi : TIMBER! Stageside Film

“FRAGILE music equipment” is written in big, stenciled letters on the crate holding Sam Coomes’ keyboard. Which must be a joke, because if you’ve ever seen Quasi perform, you know the extent to which he brutalizes his instrument—whaling on the keys with his fists, banging chords out with his forehead, lifting it up and bashing it against his chest, and basically subjecting it to any other ferocious paroxysm that seems to consume his passions at the time. Meanwhile, Janet Weiss assaults her drum kit in a far less violent but no less expressive manner—measuring out chord and tempo changes with virtuosic artistry. Quasi’s was a performance not to be missed—enjoy “The Rhino” as seen stage-side from their Main Stage set at the first annual TIMBER! Music Festival.
