Third time’s indeed a charm for Seattle’s only (and best!) mobile food tour. This time around, Kris Orlowski‘s melodic pop complemented White Moustache’s four-wheeled foodie foray up, down and all over town into some of Seattle’s best kept culinary secrets.
We’re firm believers that White Moustache gastro-guide Bryce Lathrop is one part Bacchanalian storyteller, two parts food anthropologist and three parts epicurean shaman. Meaning, he has the epicure for all that ails you, and you’ll emerge from your food coma two days later boasting some anecdotal cultural history to boot. On this particular tour, Bryce played raconteur and the band played songs catchier than hell and everyone filled their bellies with an all-vegetarian menu.

Lucky, lucky us. We again had the good fortune of joining Seattle’s only (and best!) mobile food tour as it added a local band to the mix for a night of indie pop, mouthwatering eats and a four-wheeled foray up, down and all about town and into some of Seattle’s best kept culinary secrets.
We’re firm believers that White Moustache gastro-guide Bryce Lathrop is one part Bacchanalian storyteller, two parts food anthropologist and three parts epicurean shaman. In a perfect interlacing of the senses, he invited one of our favorite up-and-coming bands OK Sweetheart to serenade a busload of gleefully gluttonous traveling tastebuds. Bryce played raconteur and the band played songs sweeter than milk and honey and everyone filled their bellies with cupcakes, barbecue, fried pickles and heaven.

When thinking to ourselves of a few of our favorite things, we often find “food” and “music” sitting at the top of the list. The mad genius Bryce Lathrop has invented a new way one may experience both at the same time—his one-of-a-kind gastro tour company White Moustache (“Seattle’s only eating tour on wheels”) now offers a Musical Plates tour which pairs lucky eaters/listeners with a local, independent band and their epicurean tastes. Bryce hand-picks courses from his favorite Seattle eateries inspired by the favorite foods of each band member.
Cruising through the twinkling lights of Seattle’s skyline and diverse hoods with some of our newest friends, an incredible band—Tacoma’s Goldfinch—and some mind-blowing food was about as serendipitous as we’d like a moment to get!
